Flu Vaccination 2020 update If you are aged 65 or over, or aged 18-64 and in an At Risk group please call the surgery to arrange an appointment for your flu vaccine as we now have vaccines available. - please see the Flu Vaccination section under Further Information

Some of our nursing staff have undergone a period of intensive minor illness training and are therefore able to undertake many consultations and examinations of adults and children over the age of 1, which otherwise would have been carried out by the doctor.

Minor illnesses that can be assessed by the minor Illness nurse are

Ear infections

Sore throats/tonsillitis

Coughs

Urine infections /cystitis

Colds and flu like illness

Rashes and childhood infections e.g. chicken pox

Cellulitis

Emergency contraception

Cold sores

Vaginal discharge

Insect bites

Muscle sprains but not suspected fractures

Minor eye problems i.e. suspected conjuctivitis
